(415) Palatia ( German Palatia ) is a main-belt asteroid that was discovered on February 7, 1896 by German astronomer Max Wolf at the Heidelberg Observatory and is named after a territorial entity within the Holy Roman Empire , now known as Kurpfalz [1] .

Orbit of the asteroid Palatia and its position in the Solar System

Held in 1975 at the Kitt-Peak Observatory at a wavelength of 10 μm, they gave too large a diameter value for this asteroid - 93 km, which is explained by the very low radiometric albedo 0.026. In composition, it occupies an intermediate position between the spectral classes D and P and, as is supposed, in its rocks it contains enstatite in a significant amount [2] .
