Cornelia Scipio

Scipioons ( lat. Scipio - literally “rod”, “staff”; the name is associated with the legend of a young man who accompanied his blind father everywhere, serving him as though a staff) - the Roman cognomist , a branch of the Cornelian family, distinguished by strict patriarchal education, modesty and devotion to loved ones. Scipions were usually political allies of Pavlov from the Emilian clan, for some time they were regularly elected consuls and were quite influential at the end of the first series of the Illyrian wars of 229–219 BC. e.
