Content
Club career
Daniel began to play football in the Dortmund Borussia . In 2000, he joined the Bochum youth team, with whom he won the German Youth Championship twice and once became the vice champion.
On August 14, 2004 he made his debut for the second Bochum roster [2] . In 2006, Gordon returned to Dortmund. In the 2006/07 season, Daniel played his first match in the Bundesliga , replacing his match against Berlin Hertha [3] . Until the end of the season, Daniel took part in 4 more games, in all of them appearing as a substitute in the second half.
In the summer of 2009, Daniel joined the Roth-Weiss Club of the Second Bundesliga from Oberhausen. In two seasons at Roth Weiss, Gordon spent 48 matches and scored 7 goals. At the end of the 2010/11 season, the Oberhausen players flew into the Third League , and Daniel left the club, moving to Frankfurt . Gordon signed a two-year contract with the Frankfurt players, but in the first season he played only 3 matches.
Having never managed to break into the foundation of Frankfurt, Gordon joined Karlsruhe in the Third League. At the end of the season, the club took first place and returned to the Second Bundesliga, and Daniel took part in 27 games and scored 2 goals.
Team Career
On May 30, 2013, Daniel received a call to the Jamaican national team for the qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup against Mexico. June 4, he left in the starting lineup of the team [4] . Gordon got the opportunity to play for Jamaicans thanks to his grandfather who emigrated from Jamaica to the UK.
Personal life
Daniel's father, Gary Gordon, a former British soldier, now works as a youth coach in Dortmund Borussia [5] .
