Biography
Mikhail Tagintsev was born on November 13, 1938 in the stanitsa of Ordzhonikidzevskaya (now Ingushetia ). He graduated from high school in Lankaran . In 1956, Tagintsev was called up for service in the Soviet Army . In 1959 he graduated from the 1st Military Automobile School, in 1971 - the Air Force Academy named after Yu. A. Gagarin . He served in the Carpathian Military District , then in the 14th Air Army , as part of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany . In 1982–1984 , he was Chief of Staff and at the same time Deputy Chief of Logistics of the Air Force of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany [1] .
In 1984, Tagintsev was appointed chief of the rear headquarters of the Air Force of the Far Eastern Military District , in 1986 - deputy commander of the district Air Force, in 1988 - head of the rear of the 1st Air Army . Since 1991, he lived in Smolensk , commanded the rear of the 46th Air Army . In August 1994, with the rank of Major General Tagintsev, he was transferred to the reserve [1] . He died on January 15, 2013, was buried at the New Smolensk cemetery [2] .
He was awarded the Order "Badge of Honor" and a number of medals [1] .
