Kotyuzhansky District ( Rum. Raionul Cotiujeni ) is an administrative-territorial unit of the Moldavian SSR , which existed from November 11, 1940 to January 9, 1956 .

History
Like most regions of the Moldavian SSR , formed November 11, 1940 , the center is the village of Kotyuzhany . Until October 16, 1949, he was part of Soroka County , after the abolition of the county division was transferred to direct republican subordination.
From January 31, 1952 to June 15, 1953, the district was part of the Balti district , after the abolition of the division of the district again passed into direct republican subordination.
On January 9, 1956, the Kotyuzhansky District was liquidated, its territory was divided between the neighboring Rezinsky and Floresti Districts in a ratio of approximately 1: 2.
On November 10, 1980, the Sholdaneshty District was formed, which included about 60% of the territory of the former Kotyuzhansky District, including the entire territory transferred to the Rezinsky District.
