Biography
Sergei Volkov was born on October 21, 1941 in the village of Chernichenki, Lyakhovsky district, Nizhny Novgorod region .
Since 1949 he lived in the village of Rastorguevo (now the city of Vidnoe in the Moscow Region ).
Since 1965, he worked at the Likhachev Moscow Automobile Plant , was a gas electric welder, puncher, tool fitter, equipment adjuster [1] .
By decrees of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1975 Volkov was awarded the Order of Labor Glory of the 3rd degree, in 1985 - the 2nd degree, and by the Decree of the President of the USSR in 1991 - the 1st degree [1] .
Since 1991 - retired, but until 1998 he continued to work first as a mechanic at ZIL, then as an installer of plumbing systems and equipment.
He died on February 19, 2013 [1] .
He was also awarded a number of medals [1] .
