Sergey Petrovich Gmyrya ( Ukrainian Sergiy Petrovich Gmyrya ; January 26, 1954 , Alchevsk - October 24, 2013 ) - Ukrainian politician, communist, people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th convocations. Member of the central committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine .

Biography
Sergei Gmyri's father, Pyotr Arsentyevich, was the director of the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant ; and his mother, Valentina Petrovna, worked as a cultural worker. In 1977 he graduated from Donetsk State University with a degree in History. In 1977-1981 he worked as a history teacher in secondary school No. 23 of the city of Kommunarsk . Then he received the title of candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of the Department of History and Political Science of the Donbass Mining and Metallurgical Institute of the city of Alchevsk in the Luhansk region.
In 1994, 1998 and 2002, Gmyrya was elected People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Communist Party [1] .
He died on October 24, 2013. He was buried at the Baykovsky cemetery in Kiev [2] .
