Lithodes santolla (lat.) - a type of partial - tailed crayfish from the Lithodidae family . It was first described in 1782 by a Chilean priest and naturalist Juan Molina . Commonly used species names - English. southern king crab ("southern king crab") [2] and isp. centolla .

It lives on the Pacific coast of South America, mainly between Valdivia and Tierra del Fuego [3] . The species lives in waters with a temperature of 5–12 ° C, demonstrating greater tolerance than other representatives of the Lithodidae family [4] .
