The 1982 World Rally Championship is the tenth season of the World Rally Championship sponsored by the FIA . The 1982 season, like the previous one, consisted of 12 stages, but underwent one change, the Argentina Rally took the place of the New Zealand Rally .

The 1982 championship was marked by the dominance of German manufacturers Audi and Opel . Opel pilot, German Walter RΓΆhrl won his second champion title at the wheel of Opel Ascona 400 , and Audi pilots Michelle Mouton and Hanna Mikkola took second and third place in the championship, respectively, which allowed Audi with its all-wheel drive Audi Quattro to win the title among manufacturers. (Silver in the Michelle Mouton Championship to this day is the best indicator for a female pilot in the history of the WRC ).
As in previous seasons, pilots championship results included the results of all 12 stages of the season, and only 10 producers were counted in the championship championship. Walter RΓΆhrl at the wheel Opel showed a good result at these stages - the third and the first place respectively.
