Lone wolf

Lone Wolf ( Russian: Lone Wolf ) - a series of 28 game books written by Joe Dever with illustrations (in the first eight books) by Gary Chalk. This series has been published since July 1984 and over that time more than 9 million copies have been sold. The plot of the books focuses on the fictional world of Magnamund, where the forces of good and evil fight for control of the planet. The protagonist, The Lone Wolf, is the last of the caste of warrior monks known as the Kai Lords . A series of books written in the second person and tells the story of the adventures of the Lone Wolf, as if the reader was the main character. The reader throughout the story makes a choice on behalf of the Lone Wolf, who will subsequently change the plot and ending of the book.

Although the series ceased to be released in 1998, an organization created in 1999 by fans called Project Aon subsequently converted many books to HTML format. Joe Dever gave his permission to the Aon Project to distribute books online over the Internet. Later there was a resurgence of interest in The Lone Wolf, especially in Italy, Spain and France, where books were reprinted between 2002 and 2006. In 2007, Mongoose Publishing announced the re-publication of all books in the Lone Wolf series, including previously unpublished books 29-32. They released 17 of 28 original books, after which in February 2013 the publication of the rest of the series was handed over to the German publisher Mantikore-Verlag. The fate of the last books (from 29 to 32) is not yet known.

Officially, the series in Russian was not published, but there are amateur translations on the network.

There are also several adaptations of the Lone Wolf series: a board role-playing game from Mongoose Publishing Ltd, various computer games based on books. In July 2009, Convergence Entertainment announced the acquisition of rights to create a feature film based on the Lone Wolf series.

6The kingdoms of terror1985MagnakaiIn order to fulfill the promise to restore Kai, the Lone Wolf must first become the Kai Grandmaster. eightThe jungle of horrors1986Having survived the dangers of Death Castle and received instructions from the Elder Magus, the Lone Wolf now needs to find the third Knowledge Stone and restore the remaining lost secrets of Magnakai. This Knowledge Stone is supposedly hidden in a temple deep in the swampy jungle known as Danarg. Over the past many years, this stinking swamp has become home to many evil creatures who seek to protect the jungle and their treasures. The matter worsened by the fact that news came about the association of the dark lords around the new leader, and soon they can again call for war on Magnamund, which only increases the urgency of the search for the Lone Wolf.
9The cauldron of fear1987The lone wolf, in pursuit of the remaining Stones of knowledge, learns that the next one is located deep underground, under the streets of Tahou. Unfortunately, the war against the Dark Lords is far from successful, and there is a danger that Tachau will be captured before the Lone Wolf reaches it. If the city falls before the return of the Knowledge Stone, then Magnamund may simply be empty. The lone wolf must go to the heart of the threat, avoid the armies of the dark lords and make his way to Tachau so that the enemies do not know the purpose of his search.
tenThe dungeons of torgar1987Upon learning that the three remaining Knowledge Stone fell into the hands of the Dark Lords, the Lone Wolf and his allies must draw up a daring plan for their return. Rumor has it that stones are in the dark city of Drakkarim in Torgar, where evil sorcerers are looking for a way to destroy the stones. Again, the Lone Wolf needs to hurry in an attempt to return the Stones of Knowledge before their destruction, breaking into the very heart of darkness and a trap that threatens to permanently expel him from Magnamund.
elevenThe prisoners of time1987Although the Lone Wolf successfully rescued one of the captured Knowledge Stones in Torgar, he himself and two remaining Knowledge Stones were thrown through the portal of the Dark Lord Gnaag. After falling through the Shadow Gate , the Lone Wolf finds itself on the Daziarn Plane without the opportunity to return.
