Biography
Babishon Nishanov was born in Rishtan in 1930. The representative of the fifth generation of hereditary masters - ceramists. He studied with his brothers Abdusattor (born in 1928) and Abdukakhkhor (born in 1940) from his father, a famous master, kuzagar Usto Nishonboy Zairov (1900-1967). Grandfather - Usto Mazair Jabbarov - a famous master of the beginning of the 20th century .
Since 1942, working independently. He spent his entire working life at the Rishtan Ceramics Plant, having educated more than one generation of ceramic masters, taught the craft and his sons. Has many awards. In the 1950-70s. actively participated in exhibitions.
The master's works are in the collections of the Museum of the History of the Peoples of Uzbekistan , the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts of Uzbekistan . Currently, Usto Babadjon is no longer working, but as an elder of the “workshop” of Rishtan ceramists, she enjoys great prestige among the younger masters .
