It is located about 10 km northeast of the district center.
Toponymy
Perhaps the name Bagantuy comes from the Buryat Bahan - a pillar, column , pillar , stand [1] .
Population
According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010, 29 people lived in the village (13 men and 16 women) [2] .
