The 34th annual BRIT Awards ceremony took place on February 19, 2014 in London at the O2 Arena . He led the award, as traditionally, the British actor and presenter James Corden. The nominees were announced on January 9th at a special event attended by Ellie Golding , Jesse Jay and Jake Bagg among the candidates. [1] The leader in the number of nominations was the alternative rock band Bastille , with four nominations also showing the electronic duo Disclosure [2] [3] .

In advance, the British performer Sam Smith was awarded a prize awarded by critics [4] [5] [6] . During the ceremony, it was also broadcast on the British television channel ITV and BBC Radio 1 .
