Spartak is a Soviet football club from Kharkov . It was founded in 1922 .

History
The team was created in 1922 under the Central Committee of the LKSMU [1] . The team was named after the eponymous leader of the slave uprising in ancient Rome . Initially, it was not related to the DSO Spartak, since society was formed much later, in 1935 [2] .
In its first season, the team performed in class “B” of the Kharkov championship and took fourth place. In the same class, the second place was taken by the team of the KhPZ Parovoznik plant - the predecessor of the Metallist club [3] .
When organizing the USSR championship, the Spartacists were sent to group “B” , where they took sixth place. In the USSR Cup they reached 1/16, where they lost to the Moscow Spartak . In the autumn championship of the Soviet Union, Kharkiv performed better and were in second place in the final table.
In the USSR Cup, the team reached 1/4, where Kharkiv lost to Moscow Lokomotiv . At the same time, in the championship of the Union, things turned out worse for the team - according to the results of the year, it took seventh place. However, the expansion of the top division in 1938 allowed Spartak to be among its participants.
In group “A” the team performed unsuccessfully and flew to group “B” . In the USSR Cup of 1938, Kharkiv also did not go far and lost in 1/16 Dynamo near Moscow.
In the 1939 USSR Cup, in the replay of the 1/16 finals, the Spartacists lost to the Moscow “ Stalin ”. The game of Spartak in Group B was not memorable, the team took 18th place and lost the right to play in Group B, but in 1941 miraculously ended up in Group A again, where it occupied the penultimate world by the beginning of World War II (14th) place.
In the postwar period, the club played in the championship of the city. In 1946, the team was coached by Ivan Privalov , and Semyon Rezenkin was its captain. In 1957, “Spartak” unsuccessfully performed in the Championship of the Ukrainian SSR among KFK , it took the last place in the zone. Two years later, the club returned to the championship of the Ukrainian SSR. Spartak won first place in its zone. But then he could not rise, taking last place in the semifinal group. In the same year, in the final of the Kharkiv Region Cup , Spartak defeated the team of the Govorov Military Academy. In addition to the trophy, the club received the right to participate in the Cup of the Ukrainian SSR , where it reached the 1/16 finals [4] . The last time Spartak took part in the Republican Championship in 1975, where he took last place in the group. In subsequent years, the club played locally.
