Story

Background

1972 year. Flinty rivers appeared in North Korea and the APEX Corporation was founded, which managed to extract great benefits from them and became rich. Korea’s technology has begun to surpass US technology.

2004 year. The United States began to buy all equipment from the DPRK. Korea began to produce modern weapons, the United States began to buy them and fully armed them with their army.

2016 year. The USA waged wars in the Middle East, and even then their economy began to deplete.

2025 year. The US dollar collapsed and debt to Korea grew to the skies, unemployment and hunger began in the country, the government defaulted .

Korea invaded the United States. All the weapons that were purchased from Korea had a built-in hidden vulnerability, through which, at the right time, “pressing a button” turned off all the weapons that were in the US Army. Korea easily captured a helpless country that could not defend itself, and occupied it.

Main game

The game takes place in the city of Philadelphia in 2029. The protagonist is a member of the American Resistance Ethan Brady. Resistance forces are trying to free the city from the KPA.

The Voice of Freedom (DLC)

Add-on events are a prequel to the main game and develop shortly before the start of the storyline.

Events are described on behalf of Benjamin Walker. He, together with a small group of rebels, gets to the Philadelphia environs on a stolen armored car K.N.A. During the parking they are attacked by anarchists and their 9-0 gangs. The group manages to beat them off, but the armored car is destroyed, two members of the group - Abby Baker and Billy Randall - die, and the shootout attracted the attention of K.NA patrols to them. The detachment secretly sneaks through the streets and enters the collector, from where they exit into the tunnels subway, where the same gang settled. Due to the tight cordon of K.N.A., the only way to the city is via the metro line, but the branch that goes into the city is blocked by an idle automatic door. While the couple repair the cable, Ben and Vance are looking for a generator for the door. In the end, they find him, but are forced to shoot back from the bandits. The situation is complicated by the fact that K.N.A. uninhabited houses are demolished in the area above this metro line, due to which the tunnels begin to collapse. Walker manages to start the generator and escape from the blockage.

Having opened the door, the detachment moves on and soon comes to the surface, however, in the middle of the Korean checkpoint. A shootout ensues, and Koreans call in reinforcements. To escape, Jill tells Walker to drop them and go down the trash. Walker hardly agrees and leaves.

The last shots of the supplement are an interactive scene through the eyes of Walker, where he still go to Harvey's address, but he is late - K.N.A. went to him first. Walker consistently kills all the patrolmen, and then bursts into the interrogation room (from the opening scene of the game) and kills the American collaborator. Walker meets face-to-face with Harvey's only surviving assistant, who turns out to be Brady, and tells him that it’s time for them to get out of here.

Aftermath (DLC)

Add-on events are a continuation of the main game.

2 weeks after the capture of Philadelphia K.N.A. trying to recapture the city from the rebels. The situation is further complicated by the fact that about 40 people deserted from the Resistance. Parrish and Cook blame Walker, who has now become K.N.A.'s propaganda tool, undermining the rebel morale with his speech. Both resistance leaders conclude that Walker needs to be killed, but Brady believes he can still be saved. Parrish doubts the success of this plan, but gives Ethan the go-ahead for the operation.

Brady goes to the radio station, from where the occupiers allegedly broadcast, in order to find Walker. He bursts in there and makes his way to the studio, but Walker is not there - only a terminal broadcasting a record of his appeal. Brady breaks into the terminal and sends a data stream to the Resistance, after which he is forced to escape from the besieged radio station.

After some time, Parrish contacts Brady and says that he found out where Walker is now: he is being held in a chemical factory, not far from the radio station. He also broadcasts Brady to a found audiologist, from which it becomes clear that Walker was forced to cooperate with K.N.A., since they poisoned him with drugs and killed ordinary people before his eyes, which shook his psyche. Parrish makes it clear that he now agrees with Brady - Walker must be saved at all costs.

Brady secretly enters the factory and makes his way to the prison block, where he finds the half-dead Walker. He deliriously attacks Ethan, preparing to kill him, but in time they come to their senses. Ethan helps him out. A little later, Cook also joined them, hijacking a K.N.A. combat helicopter, which greatly facilitated the task of the rebels. Brady and Walker break through to the landing pad and fly away with Cook. In the air, Walker ironically remarks that now K.N.A. will not say hello, because the Voice of Freedom is ready to return ...

Beyond the Wall (DLC)

The events of this addition continue the plot of the main game and are the epilogue of the story of Ethan Brady.

After an indefinite period of time, riots in other cities were suppressed, and the Philadelphia cell was again forced to go underground. Brady returns from patrol, catching Parrish and the rest of the rebels in preparation for evacuation. But Parrish shares Brady with his find - the radio operators caught a signal on emergency frequencies, where a woman calls for help, posing as a soldier from N.A.T.O. A rebel fight begins with K.N.A., who found their base, but many the rebels manage to escape. Parrish instructs Brady to find that signal source and find out about support from N.A.T.O.

Brady finds out. that the signal comes from a church outside the city, and that a Korean patrol has already settled there. Having dealt with the invaders, Brady finds a source, which turned out to be a woman named Lisa Burnel. She told Ethan that she, as part of the special forces, got here from Europe with a special task that would help turn the outcome of the war in America's favor, but asked him to help with this. To do this, she needs to steal a car with special equipment, which her detachment left near an abandoned roadside diner. Killing the patrol, Ethan finds a car with strange cases. Lisa explains that one of them has a nuclear warhead, which her detachment was supposed to deliver to S.Sh.A.'s secret missile base, disguised as a farm: if you launch the warhead from there into space and detonate, the electromagnetic pulse will burn K.'s army satellites. N.A., making their system of stationary weapons defenseless - then the European Union will be able to deploy troops and help the Resistance win America back.

Ethan and Lisa penetrate the base, but the missile shaft was damaged and unsuitable for launch. Ethan contacts Parish and, having outlined the situation to him, asks together with reinforcements to deliver spare parts for the installation repair. Parish replies that he has already sent reinforcements to them, but Brady must destroy the coastal guns of K.N.A. Having done away with them, Brady escorts the rebels to the base where they occupy defensive positions and repair the installation.

A large detachment of K.N.A. attacks the base, and the rebels are forced to fight back. Lisa says that the hatch of the mine is jammed, and it can only be opened from the inside. Ethan descends into the mine and prepares to manually open it, after which he tells Lisa to launch a rocket. However, she cannot decide to launch - otherwise Ethan will die. The Koreans burst into the control room and kill Lisa, but before she died, she still gives the ignition. The rocket successfully starts, but Ethan burns alive.

The epilogue shows how a rocket flies into space, destroying Korean satellites, and Parrish addresses all the rebels on the radio, urging them to raise their weapons again against the invaders.

One of the circumstances is that during the uprising, all the inhabitants of the city will be killed by the gas released by the airships armed with it. The uprisings were already in Boston, Pittsburgh - as a result, all of their inhabitants were poisoned. Familiar with Dana and Jack. Killed by Dana during her next outburst of anger. In the Russian version voiced by Sergei Chikhachev.
