Biography
V. I. Nuzhdin was born in with. Elkhovka of the Samara province on August 12, 1918 in a family of wealthy peasants. He lost his father very early and after the end of the civil war he moved to live with his aunt E. M. Nuzhdina in Novonikolaevsk . Taking into account the social origin, for the possibility of entering a university, after the end of seven years he worked at a factory where he acquired the qualifications of a 6th-level wood model designer and studied at the work faculty at NIVIT . In 1938 he entered NISI , where he graduated with honors in 1943 with a degree in Architecture. The graduation project was carried out under the guidance of a professor at NISI, a well-known Siberian architect A. D. Kryachkov .
After graduation, V. I. Nuzhdin worked for more than 35 years in the design organizations of Novosibirsk and went from architect to chief architect of APM ( Novosibgrazhdanproekt , 1969-1975) and chief architect of projects (SibZNIIEP, 1975-1979).
V. I. Nuzhdin is the author and co-author of a large number of projects of erected buildings and structures in Western Siberia, Kuzbass, Altai and Novosibirsk. Among them are the complex of buildings of the State Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Hospital, the new building of the Sibrevkom building (currently the building of the Novosibirsk State Art Museum ), the building of the Polytechnic Institute in Tomsk , the palace of physical education with a swimming pool in Prokopyevsk , the administrative and production building of the Kuzbassgiproshakht Institute, complexes residential buildings in Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, Mezhdurechensk and other cities.
V.I. Nuzhdin repeatedly participated and won in All-Union competitions of projects and was awarded with diplomas and honorary diplomas of the Union of Architects of the USSR , the Executive Committee of the Soviet Union and the Executive Committee of the Novosibirsk Oblast.
