Lisa Fischer ( born Lisa Fischer , December 1, 1958 ) is an American singer and musician. Gained special fame after the So Intense solo album released in 1991 and the single “How Can I Ease the Pain” won the Grammy Award . Has a wide vocal range [1] , as a backing vocalist collaborates with many musicians.

Career start
Lisa Fisher was born in the Fort Green area in Brooklyn , New York . In 1983, under the stage name Xēna, Fisher released the freestyle single “On the Upside”. In 1984 , the electronic track “Only Love (Shadows)” was released, a fragment of which was heard in the movie “ Beat Street ”. In 1995, “Only Love (Shadows)” was released on The Best of Criminal Records . By the end of the 80s, Fisher only worked in collaboration with other musicians.
Solo Work
In 1991, Lisa Fisher released a solo album, So Intense , which reached a high position in the charts, and the single from this album “How Can I Ease the Pain” brought the singer a Grammy Award in the category “Best Female Vocal R&B Performance” [2] . However, Fisher later said that she would not continue to record solo and continue to work with third-party performers [3] .
Present
From 1995 to the present day, Lisa Fisher has been actively collaborating with the rock band The Rolling Stones . Since the 2000s, as a backing vocalist, Fisher has been on tour with Tina Turner [4] , Luther Vandross , Chris Botti . In 2009, the singer takes part in the recording of Sting's album If On a Winter's Night .... In 2013, Fisher participated in a concert tour of the Tension 2013 of the industrial group Nine Inch Nails [5] .
