Classic Private University

• The university was founded in 1992 as the "International Institute of State and Municipal Administration."
• 1996 - renamed the Zaporizhzhya Institute of State and Municipal Administration.
• 1998 - a scientific and educational complex was founded, which subsequently included higher educational institutions of I-II and III-IV levels of accreditation, vocational schools, gymnasiums and schools in the city.
• 1999 - the institute is accredited at level III, its own six-story building was built and opened.
• 2000 - by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (November 21, No. 542), the institution was granted the status of a Humanitarian University with the name "Humanitarian University of ZIGMU."
• 2003 - open student hotel, collegiate school for grades 1-4.
• 2004 - The institutes of postgraduate and distance education were opened in their own new premises (100 Gogol St.). The Melitopol and Energodar institutes of state and municipal administration of the State Institution “ZIGMU” were opened.
• 2005 - the university is accredited as a whole on the IV level, a six-story educational building for the faculty of health, sports and tourism was built.
• 2006 - The construction of a new seven-story building for the Faculty of Law was launched; a research institute of public administration and local government problems was opened. The humanitarian university “ZIGMU” is included in the State Register of Scientific Institutions of Ukraine, which receive state support. Three specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations for the degree of candidate of sciences have been opened on the basis of the Humanitarian University.
• 2007 - the university is recognized as the best higher educational institution of the city according to the results of the "Top 200 Ukraine" rating and takes 75th place among the two hundred best universities of Ukraine ^{[2] [3]} . The areas of training have been expanded and, accordingly, a new status has been granted to the Classical University, the organizational structure has been changed, and institutes in the areas of training have been allocated.
• 2008 - 6 specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations, including 2 doctoral ones, work at the Classic Private University ^[4] . A new seven-story building of the Law Institute named after Vladimir Stashis was opened.
• 2010 - Classic Private University announces an annual regional tuition for university funds for gifted graduates of educational institutions. The order volume for the university as a whole will be up to 10% of the total number accepted for first-year university studies. ^[five]

As of September 2010, full-time and correspondence departments of the Classic Private University are preparing bachelors in 24 areas, specialists and masters in 34 specialties, graduate students in 20 specialties, doctoral students in 6 specialties. At the University, 7 specialized scientific councils for defending dissertations for the degree of Doctor and Candidate of Science ^{[6] were} opened, four scientific journals approved by the Higher Attestation Commission ^[7] are published. In 2010, the Classical Private University joined the Magna Carta of Universities ^[8] . He is a member of the International Association of Universities ( English International Association of Universities ) ^[9] The educational process provides the faculty, including 74 doctors, professors; 201 candidate of sciences, associate professor ^[10] .

The buildings of the Classic Private University: the main building of the university, the building of the Vladimir Stashis Institute of Law, the building of the Institute of Health, Sports and Tourism, the college premises.

• The Institute of Management provides training for specialists in the following areas: organization management and administration (specializations: management of the goods and services market; management of investment activity organizations; software engineering; system analysis; computer science; micro and nanoelectronics; geodesy, cartography and land management; theology (with denomination of denomination) (denomination - Orthodoxy)).
• The Institute of Economics provides training for students in the following areas: economic cybernetics; enterprise economics ; marketing; Accounting and Auditing; applied statistics; finance and credit; international economy.
• The Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication provides training for students in the following areas of training: journalism; publishing and editing; advertising and public relations; psychology, sociology, social work; design.
• The Institute of Foreign Philology provides training at the qualification level “Bachelor” in the direction of preparation “Philology”, at the qualification levels “Specialist”, “Master” in the specialties “Translation”, “Language and Literature (English)”.
• Scientific Laboratory of Renaissance Studios
• At the Institute of Health, Sports and Tourism, students are trained in the following areas of training: physical education; human health; tourism and hotel and restaurant business.

• The College of the Classical Private University prepares "junior specialists" in the following specialties: physical education; publishing and editing; social work; enterprise economy; commodity science and commercial activities; applied statistics, organization of public services; tourist services; social pedagogy; design of printed materials; jurisprudence; software development.

The university introduced distance education using the Moodle system ^[11] .

• Peklushenko A. N. - Ukrainian politician, chairman of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VI convocation;
• Kapitonov A. - master of sports of Ukraine of international class. The holder of the black belt in karate-do shotokan (3rd dan) in hand-to-hand combat (1st dan). Three-time world champion and multiple medalist in hand-to-hand combat. Two-time silver (2004, 2005) and bronze (2003) winner of the European Karate Championship;
• Samolenko, Tatyana Vladimirovna - Soviet and Ukrainian athlete, athlete, specialist in middle-distance running.

• According to the ranking of Ukrainian universities of III-IV accreditation levels "Top 200 Ukraine" in 2012, Classic Private University took the overall 110th place. Among the five Zaporizhzhya universities included in the ranking, this is the fourth result. Among the universities of the Zaporizhzhya region, KPU noted the best quality of education, but the lowest assessment of the quality of scientific and pedagogical potential ^[12] .
• According to the ranking of Ukrainian universities of III-IV accreditation levels "Top 200 Ukraine" in 2013, Classic Private University took the overall 112th place. Among the five Zaporizhzhya universities included in the ranking, this is the fourth result. Among the universities of the Zaporizhzhya region, the KPU noted the best quality of education ^[13] .
