Fedorov, Vladimir Andreevich

Vladimir Andreyevich Fedorov was born on May 11, 1956 in Moscow. He was fond of music since childhood: from the age of 11 he played in a brass band - first on a trumpet , and then on a baritone . Later, he studied at the music school named after S. S. Prokofiev professor MPI them. Gnesins (now RAM them. Gnesins ) B.P. Grigoriev in the class of trombone . I independently learned to play the guitar and bass .

In 1976 he graduated from the Moscow Radiomechanical College with a degree in Electronic Optics (Optoelectronic Devices - Lasers ).

In 1979, he graduated from the Moscow Experimental Studio of pop and jazz music in the recreation center "Moskvorechye" (Jazz Studio "Moskvorechye") with a degree in bass. (Now - Moscow College of Improvisational Music named after Yu. P. Kozyrev ). After graduating for four years he taught bass guitar there. At the same time, for a year and a half, he studied in the same class as a saxophone under the direction of A.V.

In 1983 he was hired by the Sovremennik pop orchestra (Rosconcert) under the direction of Anatoly Kroll .

In 1987 he graduated from the State Music College. The Gnesins - variety department on B. Ordynka (now the State University of Economics and Management ), specializing in bass guitar.

From 1988 to 1991 led the student big band of the GMU. The Gnesins, having taken the “baton” from the hands of A.O. Kroll.

In 1992 he graduated from the Russian Academy of Music. Gnesins in the specialty “Bass Guitar, Double Bass” (class of Anatoly Vasilievich Sobolev ). As a bass guitarist of the Sovremennik pop orchestra, he participated in several Moscow jazz festivals, as well as in the Prague-1986 International Jazz Festival; International Jazz Festival "Jazz Yatra-1989" (India); starred in episodes of the films “ We Are From Jazz ” (1983) and “ Winter Evening in Gagra ” (1985)

Wife - Maria Fedorova (since 1980) - pianist, composer, arranger, sound producer.

From 1983 to 1991 worked in the pop contemporary orchestra "Sovremennik" (later - the Moscow Polyphonic Band Concert Orchestra) under the direction of Anatoly Kroll - first a bass player, and since 1985 - also an arranger.

From 1991 to 2000 He worked at various recording studios (Moscow) as a sound engineer, arranger and sound producer, releasing more than a dozen magnetic albums and CDs, as well as the soundtrack of the cartoon Man in the Air (1993). As an arranger, together with his wife Maria Fedorova, he worked in all areas of modern music - symphonic, jazz and pop: in 1998, they participated in the creation and release of the musical play “I Will Wait for You ... ” (Script and director director - Gedrius Matskevichus ; music - Maria Fedorova; the role of the Creator-musician and musical part of the solo guitar - Dmitry Chetvergov ; sound production, arrangement, orchestration and stage sound production - Vladimir Fedorov ).

In the late 90s and 2000s. Maria and Vladimir collaborated with such collectives as Turetsky ’s Choir under the direction of Mikhail Turetsky , and the Jazz Band Phonograph under the direction of Sergey Zhilin .

In 2007, Maria and Vladimir jointly made a complete package of jingles for the musical design of the Mayak radio station .

From 2000 to 2009 worked as a director of music production studios, as well as an arranger and chief sound engineer for the Moscow Radio Chanson .

In 2006, as a sound producer, arranger and sound engineer, he participated in the creation of the musical design for the jubilee (dedicated to the 50th anniversary) performance of Yefim Shifrin “Cabaret. Reloading ”(director - Sergey Tsvetkov , composer Maria Fedorova, lyrics by Evgeny Muravyov ).

Since 2009 he has been working at the Russian Academy of Music named after Gnesins as the second conductor and arranger of the big band "Academic Band" under the direction of People's Artist of Russia Anatoly Kroll. He teaches jazz arrangements, instrumentation and the basics of jazz composition.

In 2011, as a toolmaker, he collaborated with Arkady Shilkloper , making the instrumentation of the play “Mozartino” by composer Alexander Rosenblatt for the horn and chamber orchestra.

Teaching

• 1988-1991 - Lecturer in jazz harmony and arrangement, head of the student big band of the pop department of the Gnesinsky College (pop and jazz department in B. Ordynka).
• Since 2008 - teacher of jazz arrangement.
• Since 2009 - Lecturer of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gnesins .
• 2008-2011 - Lecturer in jazz arrangement and instrumentation at the Moscow College of Improvisational Music .
• Since 2011 - chief editor-coordinator, as well as executive secretary of the jury of the annual International Jazz Festival of Young Performers "GNESIN-JAZZ", held by Anatoly Kroll and RAM them. Gnesins under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation .
• 2012-2013 - Teacher of jazz arrangement, instrumentation and the basics of improvisation at the Institute of Contemporary Art .

Over the years, V.A. Fedorov's students in arrangement were: Alevtina Polyakova, Alexei Leon-Reyes, Andrey Ruznyaev, Ilya Morozov, Alexey Ryabukhin, Ivan Baryshnikov, Andrey Marukhin, Denis Martynov, Marina Vinogradova, Konstantin Kasyanov and others young, but already famous musicians arrangers.
