It is located approximately 2.6 km south-east of the island of Popov and 22 km south-west of Vladivostok . Covered with deciduous forest. From the south and east, the coast of the island is steep, rocky, indented by narrow deep coves. On the northwestern and northern coasts of the island, pebble and rocky beaches are common. The total length of the coastline is 2.46 km, of which the beaches are 0.6 km.
