Tall leafy, rosette-shaped, 8-10 cm long. The upper surface is grayish-green in color, darker, dull or shiny closer to the middle, with round large holes, often with litter. The lower surface is folded, black, does not have a rizin. The core is hollow, white. Apothecia sessile or on a short stalk, up to 5 mm long, are rare [1] [2] .
Reproduction is mainly vegetative by means of media .
Mesophyte . It lives on trunks and branches of deciduous and coniferous species [1] .
It is found in Russia in its European part, Western Siberia , the Far East , the Urals , and the Caucasus . It is found abroad in Scandinavia , Atlantic Europe, Southeast Asia , Africa , North and South America [1] .
