Zhang Yusya (born July 1950 , Beijing , China ) is a Chinese military commander and colonel general (2011). Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Council of the PRC since October 2017, member of the Central Military Council of China . Member of the CPC , member of the CPC Central Committee of 17-18 convocations.

Biography
Rooted from Shaanxi Province . The son of one of the first PLA generals (1955), Zhang Zongxun ( en: Zhang Zongxun ), by virtue of which he is ranked among the so-called Chinese "princes."
In the ranks of the PLA since 18 years since 1968. He went from a private to a general. In the 1970-1980s - a participant in the Sino-Vietnamese border war [1] .
From December 2000 to December 2005 - commander of the 13th PLA Army .
Since December 2005 - Deputy Commander of the Beijing Military District .
From September 2007 to October 2012 - the commander of the Shenyang Military District (succeeded Chang Wanquan ).
From October 2012 to August 2017 - Head of the Main Directorate of Armaments and Military Equipment of the PLA (Main Directorate of Armaments of the PLA).
Having been appointed to his last post on the eve of the 18th CPC Congress , of which he was also a delegate, at panel discussions on the report of the Secretary General of the CPC Hu Jintao at the congress, Zhang Yusha promised to expedite research and development of high-tech weapons and military equipment [2] .

Since October 2017 - Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Council of the PRC . He is the chairman of the Chinese part of the Russian-Chinese mixed intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation. According to Expert Online (10.29.2012): “Zhang Yusya is considered an ally of Xi Jinping - their fathers fought side by side in the 40s of the last century. It is believed that Xi contributed to the appropriation of the rank of army general last year to Zhang. ” [4]
