Marian (Marian) Altenberg ( Ukrainian Mar'yan Altenberґ ; Polish. Marian Altenberg ; August 16, 1907 , Lemberg , Austria-Hungary - May 29, 1943 , Warsaw ) - Ukrainian musician, pianist, conductor of the Lviv Opera Theater (1939-1941) and the Lviv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

Biography
Nephew of the famous Lviv publisher and bookstore owner Alfred Altenberg. A graduate of the Lviv Conservatory in piano , studied conducting in Berlin .
He began his musical career as a soloist and accompanist on the radio , performed jazz [1] .
He worked in opera houses in Europe, before the war - in Lviv. He worked as a conductor of the working choir and symphony concerts of the Lviv Philharmonic and accompanist of the Lviv Bolshoi City Theater. After the reunification of Western Ukraine with the USSR, he became the accompanist of the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater.
In 1939-1941 - conductor of the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater .
He was executed by German invaders on May 29, 1943 in Warsaw .
