Club career

Mirko started playing football in the team of “SV Res”, at the age of 15 he moved to the youth team “ Schalke 04 ”. In 2004, he joined Duisburg .

In 2008, he signed a professional contract and was included in the Duisburg application for the 2008/09 season, however, he did not play a single game for the main team and played for the reserve staff. From 2006 to 2009 he played 74 matches for the reserve team, was marked by 8 goals scored.

In January 2009, Boland was granted free agent status, and he signed a contract with Eintracht from Braunschweig who played in the Third Bundesliga . For his new club, Mirko made his debut on March 4, 2009 in a game against Roth-Weiss from Erfurt [2] . Already in his next match for Eintracht Mirko scored a goal [3] . In the 2008/09 season, Mirko spent 18 matches and scored 2 goals. The following season, Boland also regularly appeared in the main team, taking part in 35 meetings and distinguishing himself three times.

According to the results of the 2010/11 season, Mirko, together with the club, achieved a promotion in the classroom, reaching the Second Bundesliga . Two years later, Eintracht, taking second place, received a ticket to the Bundesliga . In the Bundesliga, Boland made his debut on August 10, 2013 in a round 1 meeting against the Bremen Werder Bremen [4] . On September 20, Boland scored his first goal in the Bundesliga against the Gönchengladbach Borussia [5] .
