Biography
He began to play hockey with the ball in 1938 in Moscow at the stadium "Young Pioneers". Later moved to ice hockey. He began his career in club Dynamo teams. In 1947, he made his way into the main composition of Muscovites. In addition to Dynamo Leonov played for the Air Force, Wings of the Soviets, Spartak, Chemist and Temp. He played for the Moscow team. In 1951, he played for the USSR national team in an unofficial friendly game against the Polish national team , which ended with a score of 15: 3 in favor of Soviet hockey players [1] .
Fast, maneuverable quarterback. He played tactically competently, rigorously and carefully, punctually carried out coaching instructions, actively connected to attacks. Member of World War II. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star (1944) and World War II degree (1945).
In addition to hockey, he played in club Dynamo football and hockey teams. In particular, in 1946, Revold Leonov held 1 game in the USSR football championship for Dynamo Ivanovo [2] .
After completing a career, he became a coach. He worked with the youth and youth teams of “Wings of the Soviets” (M) - (1961-1964), Angarsk “Ermak” - 1964-1970, Rybinsk “Meteor” - 1971-1974 and Ryazan “Buran” - 1978-1979. From 1979 to 1986, Revold Leonov was a member of the coaching staff of the Moscow team Hammer and Sickle. In the 1991/92 season, he served as a trainer and consultant for Yermak.
Since 1975, Revold Leonov worked as a football and hockey instructor at the Svyazist signal stadium in Moscow.
