A native of Augsburg began playing tennis at age 5; favorite coating is soil.
Sports career
Schruff reached the highest WTA rating on April 17, 2006, when she finished 52nd. In the doubles category, the highest place was reached on October 2 of the same year - 99th place. The biggest achievement in the WTA tour was in 2003, when she reached the final at the Estoril tournament.
Over the course of her career, she beat two Top10 players - Anastasia Myskina in 2005 at a tournament in Berlin and Elena Dementieva at the 2006 Australian Open . Shruff also has victories for tennis players such as Elena Yankovich , Katarina Srebotnik , Flavia Pennetta , Elena Dokich , Elena Likhovtseva and Alyona Bondarenko .
In singles she won two ITF tournaments: in 2009 - in Latina , where she defeated compatriot Andreu Petkovich in the finals and in 2010 - in Alfen-en-den-Rhine . In doubles, she was able to win five tournaments.
