Biography
Born on January 27, 1912 in the village of Oreshkovichi (now - the Berezinsky district of the Mogilev region).
Since 1928, a lumberjack of the Chernevskaya office of the Berezinsky district. Since 1930, a fireman at the Neva Hydroelectric Power Station of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1932 he arrived in Lysychansk, worked at the mine to them. Melnikov Trust "Lisichanskugol" the head of the personnel table, assistant to the head of the mine.
From 1934 to 1936 he served in the Red Army, the commander of the automobile regiment. After his dismissal, he returned to his previous job. In January 1943, he volunteered for the front, fought as part of the 22nd Siberian Volunteer Division in the 27th Guards Separate Anti-Tank Fighter Division, gun commander of 76-mm cannons. He was awarded the medal "For Military Merit" (1943) and the Order of the Red Star (1944). In July 1944, after being wounded, he was demobilized and returned to the coal industry.
Since August 1944, Head of the Black Sea Mine Administration. Provided early development of design capacity. In February-August 1953, the head of the Kremennaya-Zapadnaya mine. In August 1954 he headed the Novodruzheskaya mine , where he worked until the last days of his life.
On his initiative, in all lavas of the mine, for the first time in the trust, high-performance narrow-grabbing combines 1K-101 were introduced, working in combination with a bending conveyor SP-63. High-speed methods of mine workings made it possible to switch to a pillar system for mining a mine field, to organize the work of lavas on advanced cross-hoses : using more productive RTU-30 belt conveyors instead of scraper conveyors on conveyor drifts .
During his leadership, the Novodruzheskaya mine was one of the best coal enterprises in the Donetsk basin. She completed the task of the eighth five-year plan on July 31, 1970 .
For outstanding services in fulfilling the tasks of the five-year plan for the development of the coal industry and achieving high technical and economic indicators, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, by a decree of March 30, 1971, awarded Philip Sidorovich Kapusta the title Hero of Socialist Labor .
Philip Sidorovich Kapusta suddenly died on February 18, 1972 on the way to work. He was buried in Lysychansk.
One of the streets of Novodruzhesk was named after him, a memorial plaque was installed on the administrative building of the Novodruzheskaya mine.
