Biography
Born December 18, 1912 in the village. Usyaty Prokopyevsk. A 19-year-old boy went to work as a hauler at the “Anthill” mine. In 1932 he graduated from the miners' courses and moved to the mine "Ziminka" , in 1936 - to the mine to them. Molotov (the future "Nogradskaya" ), where he worked for 10 years. In recent years, Usov labored at the Tsentralnaya mine .
From 1937 he led a team of miners, which achieved unprecedented results on powerful layers of a steep fall. The ability of the brigadier with particular force manifested during the Great Patriotic War . Production standards were met by no less than 145%.
In January 1946, Usov's brigade won the passing Red Banner of the Central Committee of the coal trade union and the Kuzbassugol combine. The foreman, one of the first in the city, was awarded the title of “Honorary Miner”, and in 1948 - the title of Hero of Socialist Labor.
When the miners of the Usov brigade were the first to master the work with the help of the new system - under a flexible ceiling, Pyotr Yakovlevich sent three best miners to the next youth brigade, and took three young miners to himself.
Soon the students worked like their teacher. And the brigade of P. Ya. Usov was called the “mining academy”. Many of his students themselves became brigadiers. Timofey Bogdanov, for example, headed the brigade, which in 1962 set a record, issuing 20 thousand tons of coal per month from under the flexible cover.
He died in December 1995 .
