Biography
Konstantin Karlovich Ebeling was born in 1826. Departing at the age of 14 years in the naval cadet corps , he was promoted to midshipmen three years later, and on August 1, 1845, to warrant officers, and until 1852, went to the Baltic Sea on ships: Arsis and Finland and the frigate Ceres ", And on December 6, 1850, he was promoted to lieutenant , and exactly one year later he was enlisted in the fleet and appointed adjutant to the head of the 2nd naval division [1] .
From 1852 to 1856, he served on the Baltic Fleet on the ship St. George, the Brave steamer and the corvette Prince Varshavsky , while protecting the city of Kronstadt from a possible attack by the Anglo-French fleet during the Crimean War [1] .

In 1860 he was promoted to captain-lieutenant , and three years later he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 3rd degree [1] .
