Cleptes metallicorpus (lat.) Is a type of wasps of the genus Cleptes from the subfamily Cleptinae [2] .

East Asia: China (Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Guangdong) and Korea . Occur from May to July [2] .
Description
A medium sized wasp glistening, length 6.7–9.7 mm. The body is almost completely bluish in color, with a metallic luster (including the abdomen and legs, except for the brownish legs). Antennae brownish black. Pronotum narrows anteriorly. Females have 4 visible tergites (males have five) [2] [3] . The Cleptes metallicorpus taxon was first described in 2011 by Korean entomologists (Hyeong Hwa Haa, Jong Wook Leeb, Jeong-Kyu Kima, 2011) [1] and belongs to the species group asianus species-group [4] . Valid species status was confirmed in 2013 during a revision of the local fauna by Chinese entomologists N. Wei and Z. Xu (Na-sen Wei, Zai-fu Xu; Department of Entomology, College of Natural Resources and Environment, South China Agricultural University , Guangzhou , China ) and the Italian Hymenopterologist Paolo Rosa ( Paolo Rosa ; Bernaregio , Province of Monza-e-Brianza , Italy ) [2] .
