Tarhan ( Tat. Tarhan ) is a Tatar village in the Sasov district of the Ryazan region of Russia . It is part of the Novoberezovsky rural settlement .

Geographical position
It is located in the southern part of the Sasovsk district , 25 km south of the district center on the Tsna River .
Nearest settlements:
- the village of Koldamyshevo , 200 m southeast on a dirt road;
- the village of Staroe Berezovo 1 km northwest along a dirt road.
The nearest railway station is Sasovo , 25 km north along an asphalt road.
Nature
Climate
The climate is temperate continental with moderately hot summers (average July temperature +19 ° C) and relatively cold winters (average January temperature −11 ° C). Precipitation is about 600 mm per year.

Hydrography
The village is located on the left high bank of Tsna , adjacent to the ledge of the floodplain.
Soil
In the valley and the floodplain, Tsoni are alluvial soils (loams and sandy loams), higher, turning into chernozem to the southwest.
History
The village has long been the place of residence of the Tatars. In 1697, the service Tatars of the village of Tarhan and their estates were mentioned [4] . In 1833 a wooden mosque was built, in 1874 it was rebuilt:
To rebuild the five-time mosque in the village of Tarhan of the Shatsky district and designate its cathedral by the respect that the village of Tarkhan, consisting of 210 souls, was supplemented by six villages, namely from Tensyupin, Bolshoi and Maly Studenets, Yarno [voy] Aleshni, Ryazanova , 251 souls and that mosque will be 20 and a canopy of 5 arshins wide, 9 arshins wide, 6 arshins high to the roof, one oven, windows 10 and 2 in the entrance, a minar from the ceiling upwards 30 arshins, the roof will be covered with tesa.

In 1893, Tarkhan was part of the Novo-Berezovskaya volost of the Shatsky district of the Tambov province . From 2004 to the present, it has been part of the Novoberezovsky rural settlement . Until that moment, it was part of the Novoberezovsky rural district .

Infrastructure

Road Network
250 m from the village there is an asphalt road of inter-district value Alyoshino - Yambirno . There is no asphalt access to the village, only a dirt road.
Transport
Communication with the district center is carried out by the bus line of suburban value No. 106 Sasovo - Yambirno . Buses of medium capacity ( PAZ-3205 ) run several times a day, daily.

The village receives electricity through a transit power line of 10 kV, from the substation 35/10 kV "Studenets" (reserve from the substation 110/35/10 kV "Tensyupino").
