In 1812-1825, on the site of the wooden Elias Church, a stone five-domed Church of the Ascension of the Lord was erected in the spirit of provincial classicism. At the end of the 19th century, the bell tower and the refectory with the chapels of the icon of the Mother of God of All Sorrows of Joy and the Prophet Elijah were rebuilt in a pseudo-Russian style .
In the late 1930s it was closed and occupied by a garage, after which it was abandoned. In 2005, the quadrangle collapsed.
