Crater Gaston ( lat. Gaston ) is a small impact crater in the western part of the Sea of Rains on the visible side of the Moon . The name given by the French male name and approved by the International Astronomical Union in 1979

Crater Description
Neighborhood crater Gaston. A snapshot of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter .
The nearest neighbors of the crater are the small craters Boris and Linda in the southeast and the small crater Delil in the southwest. To the east of the crater is the ledge of Boris and the furrow of Delilia ; in the southeast - the Diophantus furrow [1] . The selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater are , diameter 2.0 km [2] , depth 0.36 km [3] .
The crater is a lowering area of irregular shape.
