Fushimi-no-miya Hiroyasu

Prince Hiroyasu from the Fushimi line ( Jap. Ус 見 宮 博 恭王 Fushimi-no-Mia Hiroyasu-o , October 16, 1875 , Tokyo - August 16, 1946 , ibid.) - Japanese naval commander, the 23rd head of the genus Fushimi-no-mia (the youngest branches of the Imperial House of Japan).

Biography

Prince Hiroyasu was born in Tokyo on October 16, 1875. His parents were the 22nd head of the Fushimi clan, Prince Sadanara Fushimi (1858–1923) and Toshiko Arisugawa (1858–1927), daughter of Prince Arisugawa Taruhito. In 1886 he was sent to the military academy of the Imperial Navy in Tsukiji, in 1889-1895 he studied in Germany in Kiel; at this time Hiroyasu consistently received the title of midshipman (March 30, 1893) and junior lieutenant (April 20, 1894). He returned to Japan in 1895, served on the Itsukushima, Matsushima, Asama and Izumo cruisers, Fuji and Asahi battleships.

Tsuneko Fushimi

On January 9, 1896, Prince Hiroyasu married Tsuneko Tokugawa (1882-1939), the ninth daughter of Japan's last shogun, Yoshinobu Tokugawa . In this marriage were born 7 children:

  • Prince Hiroyoshi (1897–1938) - naval officer, participant in the Second Sino-Chinese War;
  • Princess Yasuko (1898-1919) - the wife of Marquis Asano Nagatake;
  • Prince Hirotada (1902-1924) - naval officer, founder of the clan Katyo-miya (1904-1924);
  • Prince Hironobu (1905–1970) - naval officer , member of the Japanese parliament, from 1939–1945 - head of the Maritime Academy in Etadzim;
  • Princess Atsuko (1907–1936) - wife of Count Kiyoshi Yukiyasu;
  • Princess Tomoko (1907-1947) - the wife of Prince Cooney Asaakura;
  • Prince Hirohide (1912–1943), a naval aviation pilot, died during World War II.
