Until 2006, Korovino was part of the Borisov rural district [5] [6] .

The village is located in the southern part of the district, about 7 km south of Mozhaisk , on the right bank of the small river Pesochnitsa (left tributary of the Mzhut river) [7] , near the border with the Naro-Fominsky district , the height of the center above sea level is 187 m [8] . The nearest settlements are Bugailovo to the northeast and Borisovo to the southwest.
