The village is located in the southwestern part of the region, about 10 km west of Mozhaisk , 1 km southwest of the Borodino railway station [6] , the height of the center above sea level is 224 m [7] . The nearest settlements are the village of Borodino in the north-east and Artyomki in the south.
Near the village, on August 26 (September 7), 1812, one of the significant episodes of the battle of Borodino took place - the battle for the Utitsky mound .
