Tortkul ( Kazakh. Turtkul , until 2008 - 40 years of October [1] ) - aul in the Maktaaral district of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan . It is part of the Ayazkhan rural district. The KATO code is 514483400 [2] .

In 1999, the population of the aul was 911 people (441 men and 470 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 1031 people lived in the aul (525 men and 506 women) [3] .
