Svetlana took up handball as a child, since any other sport in her native Osijek was not popular [1] . She is a pupil of the school of Serbian handball, she played until 2007 in her homeland for the clubs Radnichki (Belgrade), Prince Milos and Naisa (Niš), winning the league title in 2007. During a performance in the Champions League 2008/2009, Svetlana was the victim of a scandalous attack on October 29, 2009 in a duel against the Austrian “Hypo Niederosterreich”: club head coach Gunnar Prokop seven seconds before the end of the match with a score of 27:27 jumped to the court and frankly pushed Svetlana, attacking the opponent’s gate. For this, Prokop was suspended for life from coaching and was forbidden for three years to hold positions in handball, and also fined 45 thousand euros [2] . The club was credited with a technical defeat and a fine of 30 thousand euros was attributed [3] .
