House under the lizard ( Polish Kamienica Pod Jaszczurką ) is a historical building, a historical and architectural monument located on the Main Market, 8 in the Cracow district Old Town , Poland . Monument of Culture of Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

The house was built in the XIV century. It got its name from the bas-relief of a lizard located on the entrance portal. The modern bas-relief is a copy; Gothic original is kept in the National Museum . Subsequently, it was rebuilt several times in the 16th, 19th and 20th centuries. In the XVI-XVIII centuries, combined with the neighboring Bonerovsky house and was an apartment building. From the original building of the XV century, the Gothic ground floor is preserved, which is made in the so-called Piast Gothic vault.
Since 1960, the house has been the headquarters of the oldest Krakow student club called Under the foot and mouth disease.
In 1932, the building was included in the register of cultural monuments of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (No. A-56 [1] ).
