Yehuda bin Shlomo Khai Alkalai ( 1798 , Sarajevo - 1878 , Jerusalem ) - Sephardic rabbi , Kabbalist, one of the forerunners of Zionism . He predicted the creation of the state of Israel and the imminent arrival of the Messiah .

Biography
- Born in the city of Sarajevo ( Bosnia )
- He spent his childhood in Jerusalem , where he met with Kabbalism
- In 1825 he became the rabbi of the city of Semlin ( Zemun )
- In 1834, he published the booklet “Listen, Israel,” where he expressed the idea of the emergence of Israel in the Holy Land and the approach of the coming of the Messiah
- After 1850 he moved to England for several months
- In 1874, he finally moved to the Land of Israel
