Gogon ( bur. Kogogon ) is a village in the Kachug district of the Irkutsk region of Russia . It is part of the Belousovsky rural settlement . It is located on the left bank of the Kulenga River , about 30 km west of the regional center, the village of Kachug , at an altitude of 562 meters above sea level [1] .

The name Gogon comes from the Buryat Hogoog - red deer or field garlic [2] .
Population
In 2002, the population of the village was 13 people (9 men and 4 women) [3] . According to the 2010 census , 12 people lived in the village (9 men and 3 women) [4] .
