The An-12 crash near Irkutsk is a plane crash that occurred on December 26, 2013 . Aircraft

The crashed An-12B aircraft (serial number 3341509) was released by the Tashkent aircraft factory on December 24, 1963 and was initially delivered to the USSR Air Force . Since May 1989, the aircraft received on-board number of the USSR-12162 and belonged to the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (in the period from 2002 to 2008 it was leased to the airline LII named after M. Gromov ). Since 1993, the aircraft is registered in the register of civil aircraft of Russia under tail number RA-12162. Since July 2008, the aircraft was transferred from civilian to the register of experimental aircraft and received board number 12162. [1] It is noteworthy that the An-12 aircraft with the same registration number of the USSR-12162 also crashed when taking off from Komsomolsk-on-Amur airfield 19 October 1987 [1] .

Crash Chronicle

An-12 aircraft carried out a cargo flight between aircraft factories in Novosibirsk and Irkutsk. The aircraft flew from the Yeltsovka aerodrome of the Chkalov NAPO .

The estimated time of arrival of the aircraft on the approach scheme was 20:55 seats. vr. Investigation

As a result of the investigation, the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office stated that the flight managers of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, a branch of the Scientific and Production Corporation Irkut, were suspected of involvement in the tragedy. According to the East Siberian Investigation Directorate for Transport, during the investigation, the suspects did not plead guilty to the charges against them, declaring their innocence to him. “However, the evidence gathered by the investigation refuted all the arguments of the accused and their defense,” the ministry said in a statement. During the investigation, more than 50 witnesses were questioned, more than 50 objects and documents were examined, 14 examinations were conducted, including two flight technical ones. The criminal case fit into 18 volumes. A submission was sent to the Irkutsk aircraft factory to eliminate the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of this crime. The damage caused as a result of the wreck of the vessel NPK Irkut and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was also calculated; it exceeded 78 million rubles.

A criminal case against flight plant managers will be considered in the Leninsky District Court of Irkutsk. The NPK Irkut declined to comment on the results of the crash investigation. [five]

As of February 2016, in addition to the human factor, a version about the failure of the leftmost engine of the aircraft is also being considered as a cause of the crash of the aircraft, in connection with which the court appointed an additional flight technical examination. [6]
