The administrative center is the village of Strokino (155 km north of Omsk ).

The settlement territory is located in a swampy wooded area with many lakes in the east of the Ishim plain . Main rivers: Osh and its tributary Chebaklinka .

The Starosoldatskoye - Tara highway runs through the settlement.

There is a secondary school in Strokino. Health care is provided by an outpatient clinic in the village of Strokino and feldsher-midwife stations in Novotroitsk, Dubrava and Vishnev [2] .
