Geography
Located 43 km northwest of Bagrationovsk . The coast of the Kaliningrad Gulf is about 3 km to the west.
History
Until 1946, the village was called Gross Hoppenbruch.
On March 26, 1945, the soldiers of the 352nd Infantry Division of the 36th Infantry Corps of the 5th Army of the 3rd Belorussian Front took the village of Gross Hoppenbruch [2] .
