Potok is a historical district in the north-eastern part of Barnaul . Located in the Oktyabrsky district , within the streets of Malakhov , Chegletsov, North-West , as well as Lenin Avenue and Cosmonauts .

Content
History
The name arose from the method of building city blocks by industrial flow development, as a rule - massive and uniform. The area arose in the 1950s. as a working village near the Northern industrial zone of Barnaul. The village was built up with barrack-type houses, five-story houses with “small families” apartments and working dormitories.
However, for that time, the construction of this microdistrict was a very important stage in the life of the city: most of the new settlers moved to Potok from the dugouts remaining after the war [1] .
Since the mid-2000s, the Stream has been actively built up with new residential buildings [2] .

In November 2013, the State Youth Theater of Altai named after V. S. Zolotukhin staged the play "Stream" [3] .
