Combat movie compilations are a series of black-and-white propaganda film almanacs that were shot in 1941-1942, each of which included two to five short feature films . In total, 15 “military movie compilations” were shot, of which 12 were released.
In the early days of the war, the Goskino decide to shoot short films on defense topics in record time. The first “Battle movie compilation” was released on August 2, 1941. The first seven issues were shot at studios in Moscow and Leningrad, but in the fall of 1941, the studios were evacuated to Central Asia. In Alma-Ata, the Central United Studio of feature films was created [1] , where since November 1941, including "Combat Movie Compilations" [2] were filmed.
