History
The map of Ingermanland by A. I. Bergenheim , compiled from Swedish materials in 1676, shows the village of Muchowina [2] .
On the Swedish "General Map of the Province of Ingermanland" in 1704, - Muchowits [3] .
As the village of Mukovits, it is plotted on the “Geographical Drawing of Izhora Land” by Adrian Schonbeck in 1705 [4] .
The village of Mukhovitsy is mentioned on the map of Ingermanland by A. Rostovtsev in 1727 [5] .
The village is the patrimony of Emperor Alexander I of which the warriors of the Imperial Police Battalion were exhibited in 1806-1807 [6] .
On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834, the village of Mukhovitsa , consisting of 42 peasant households , is indicated [7] .

In the explanatory text to the ethnographic map of the St. Petersburg province of P. I. Köppen in 1849, it is recorded as the village of Muhkowitz ( Mukhovitsy ) and the number of its inhabitants for 1848 is indicated: Ingermanlanders - Savakot - 19 m., 27 w. n., a total of 46 people, Russian - 164 people [9] .
According to the 9th revision of 1850, the village was called Mukhovets and belonged to the heirs of Pavel Nikolaevich Kamnev [10] .
According to the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852, the village was called Mukhovitsy [11] .
MUKHOVITSY - the village of the heirs of Kamenev, on a country road, the number of yards - 14, the number of souls - 54 m.
MUKHOVITSY - the village of Oranienbaum Palace, along a country road, the number of yards - 18, the number of souls - 53 m. (1856) [12]
According to the 10th revision of 1856, the village of Mukhovets belonged to the landowner Ekaterina Pavlovna Kameneva [13] .

According to the “Topographic Map of Parts of the St. Petersburg and Vyborg Provinces” in 1860, the village of Mukhovitsy numbered 37 peasant households. In the village there was a chapel and a grocery store [14] .
MUKHOVITSY - the village of the Oranienbaum palace government at the well, the number of courtyards - 40, the number of inhabitants: 103 m., 123 railways. p. (1862) [15]
In 1866, temporarily liable peasants of the village bought their land allotments from EP Kameneva and became the owners of the land [16] .
In 1885, the village numbered 38 yards [17] .
According to materials on the statistics of the national economy of the Peterhof district of 1887, one of the Mukhovitsy manor with an area of 502 tithes belonged to the candidate of law B. B. Dron, it was acquired in 1885 for 15,000 rubles; the second Mukhovitsy manor with an area of 201 tithing, belonged to the provincial secretary A.M. Lazarev, it was acquired in 1885 for 6000 rubles. The forge, along with the estate, was rented out [18] .
In the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the Medush volost of the 2nd camp of the Peterhof district of St. Petersburg province, and at the beginning of the 20th century - of the 3rd camp.
According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, there were two villages: Mukhovitsy I and Mukhovitsy II . Mukhovitsy Manor with an area of 206 acres belonged to Nadezhda Sergeevna and Mikhail Alekseevich Lazarev. The village of Muhovitsy with an area of 477 acres belonged to Maria Nikolaevna Dron [19] .
By 1913, the number of yards in the village did not change [20] .
From 1917 to 1922, the village was part of the Mukhovsky village council of the Medush volost of Peterhof district.
Since 1922 - as part of the Zaostrovsky Village Council.
Since 1923 - as part of the Gatchina district .
Since 1924 - as part of the Bobrovsky Village Council.
Since 1926 - as part of the Zaostrovsky Village Council.
Since February 1927 - as part of the Gostilitsky volost. Since August 1927, as part of the Oranienbaum district [21] .
In 1928, the population of the village of Mukhovitsy was 282 people [21] .
According to the topographic map of 1930, the village numbered 88 yards, in the center of the village was a chapel.
According to 1933, the village of Mukhovitsy was part of the Zaostrovsky village council of the Oranienbaum district [22] .
According to 1936, the village was called Mukhovets and was the administrative center of the Zaostrovsky village council, which included 7 settlements, 303 farms and 5 collective farms [23] .
The village was liberated from Nazi occupation on January 27, 1944.
Since 1960 - as part of the Gostilitsky Village Council.
Since 1963 - as part of the Gatchina district.
Since 1965 - again as part of the Lomonosov district. In 1965, the population of the village of Mukhovitsy was 232 people [21] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Mukhovitsy was part of the Lopukhinsky Village Council [24] [25] [26] .
In 1997, 57 people lived in the village of Mukhovitsy, Lopukhinsky volost, in 2002 - 42 people (Russians - 93%), in 2007 - 45 [27] [28] [29] .

The village is located in the southwestern part of the district on the highway 41K-628 (access to the village of Mukhovitsy), east of the administrative center of the village, the village of Lopukhinka .
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 10 km [29] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Oranienbaum I is 40 km [24] .
