Akbastau ( kaz. Aқbastau , until 1992 - Glinkovo [1] ) is a village in the Baidibek district of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of Akbastau rural district. It is located about 28 km southeast of the district center, the village of Shayan . Shymkent - Turkestan highway passes through Akbastau [2] . The KATO code is 513635100 [3] .

Population
In 1999, the village population was 3,134 people (1,592 men and 1,542 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 3300 people lived in the village (1666 men and 1634 women) [4] .
