History

Founded in the summer of 1895 by immigrants from Ukraine , mainly from the Chernigov and Poltava provinces [2] .

The village received its name from the Tikhmenev telegraph post located three versts above the river, established in the 1860s, which, in turn, was named after the chief of staff of the Maritime Region troops, M. P. Tikhmenev , who in 1880 became the military governor of Primorskaya areas. [ten]

In 1903 a church was built, in 1905 a parochial school was opened, in 1910 a two-class school. [11] In June 1915, 1,385 people lived in the village, including 26 Chinese and 20 Chinese . Tikhmenevo was the largest village in the Lutkovsky parish, Imansky district. [12]

In 1930 the agricultural artel was formed, and in 1932 the collective farm "New Village" was created. In 1961, the collective farm became a branch of the state farm "Lesozavodsky". In 1972 the state farm "Tikhmenevsky" was organized. [13]
