Western horse

Western horse [1] ( lat. Equus occidentalis [2] ) - an extinct horse that inhabited North America during the Ice Age , became extinct about 11,000 years ago. Its early fossils date back 500,000 years ago. It was a large type of horse, about the size of a modern horse and having a strong physique. Although it is called the western horse, their remains were found throughout the United States . Its extinction seems to be the result of the end of the ice age [3] .
